The Butcher's Block was started by Pat and Dee Dannelley as a meat processing company in October 1976. We operated an extensive retail meat and deli operation in several locations throughout the Four-State area.

We expanded several times and moved into the catering business in 1984. We formerly operated a restaurant by the same name at 2412 Main Street in Joplin and opened our first Banquet Center in November 1992.

In 1998, we closed our restaurant so that we could concentrate on Banquet and Catering events. In May 2001, we moved into a much larger building at 499 W. Fountain Road in Joplin. We now have the ability to serve two events at the same time in a very pleasant and modern facility.
